I know first hand how hard it is to be a skinny fat person, I grow up being one from my teens until my mid 20's.
The shame of going out with your friends while wearing a T -shirt and looking skinny but not like a REAL skinny because you have some fat on your chest and belly that makes your body looks fat. You also have no muscles on your frame which only makes your little amount of extra fat look WORSE .
You feel ashamed to take your shirt off at the beach, you don't wear tank tops and the girls think that you are skinny...until they see you without your clothes.
Here are the defining skinny fat ectomorph traits:
* Apparently thin in clothes, but bare skin reveals otherwise
* Small wrists
* Tall(er)
* Weak and non-muscled arms
* Love handles, lower stomach, and lower chest are main areas of fat accumulation.
In my case I only had chest + belly fat. I had super small arms (30cm , flexed) and overall weak looking body. I am also short (170 cm) so all of those traits combined really destroyed my self confidence...
I felt weak and worse-less...
When I reached my 20's I felt that I have to do do something about it..I have to start working out because if I won't do it I'll stay like this forever...So yeah I sighed up to a gym and I think I was the worst looking guy there..the trainer wrote me a full body workout training program which a month later was changed to an A/B split routine. I spent about 2 hours in the gym each workout and did many isolation exercises, I was so motivated that I was managed to keep with this insane phase for about 3 months. I made some progress, I gained some muscles, probably because of the Newbie effect but I couldn't keep on with this kind of routines it was simply to much to do and took too long, it was really frustrating to spend 2+ hours at the gym 4 times a week, my motivation started to crack.
So I decided to look for alternatives, after a few months of research and experience with tens of training programs I finally found the ones that truly WORK! The ones that are giving RESULTS!
Those programs:
* Are all based mainly on heavy compound movements, which work multiple muscles groups at the same time. As a result of that they will tear your body muscles in the best way possible to trigger Strength gains + Hypertrophy.
* Each workout will take about an hour and even less, you will get to complete fatigue FAST.
*You can WORKOUT AT HOME! Yes! you will only need to spend some money on basic equipment when you will get a an advanced level. However you WILL LOOK GOOD and BE STRONG by the time you reached that level.

* Working out will become FUN! you will fall in love with training and this is the best thing that can happen, from my own experience.

My body-fat now is around 10% , my arms are 35cm and I have a wider back and wider chest, bigger shoulders, strong looking core and strong looking legs (although I don't care much about my legs).
I'm still getting stronger (and bigger) every month, and I have no intention to stop :-) .
